It's apparently become our tradition to spend "Black Friday" prepping for Christmas. While some people are camping out to save $40 on a big screen TV, we are at home sleeping and waiting to get up at a normal time but from the moment we are up, it's moving pieces transforming our home into a winter wonderland. I'm exaggerating, we just get down our tree and lights and go to town. LOL.
This year like most years past Chloe has been eager to help me to put up the lights outside and this year was no exception. I'm not sure why but she had it in her head that she really wanted to be able to come up the ladder and actually hang the lights. I was not super excited to open that door but I figured she's old enough and with some proper safety precautions it would (probably) be fine.
Tomorrow is Dec 1 so T-minus 3 weeks and a few days until Christmas and we got a lot to do between now and then. December 1 also represents 9 years from our first surprise hospital stay with 30 weeks pregnant Heather. It's a night and a day I'm sure we both remember quite clear. The good news about that is everything worked out in the end but it was a scary time for sure. More importantly now it means that Chloe's 9th birthday is just a few short weeks away. =)
Just some photos, as usual. Have a great weekend, folks~
