How Are You Today? - May 25

Another week flies by! I must have been asked 10 times this week how old Chloe is (or rather they ask her) and everybody is suddenly shocked at how big she is. Heather and I both noticed that it seemed that Chloe might have grown a little but it's funnier to me when random people say it. Chloe is also becoming a little social butterfly which to me is hilarious. The look of shock when TWICE this week(once at Target and again and the grocery store) when Chloe asked the lady at the register "How are you today?!". LOL. She does a great job at brightening up peoples day sometimes and I doubt she even knows it. =)

Miss Independant - May 18

Lucky for us she is not a kid that takes a lot of chances. Some kids will just jump off something and hope they land on something soft or perhaps that someone will catch them. She's a flexible little bugger and she can just stick her leg up there without much effort but she knows to wait for one of us to pick her up. I can't imagine that will last forever and neither of us are looking forward to the moment when she goes into a toddler bed and can just get out at will and play with her toys..and not sleep.

Anyway. This week I'm going to try to make something interesting out of something most of us consider quite ordinary. A few months back I installed some new faucets in our place because the old ones were super old and gross. As a bonus feature Chloe can now operate the water and wash her hands all by herself. She's quite proud of it and would probably splash her hands in the water all day every day if we let her.

The Table Of Water - May 11

Super is upon us as we push into the 2nd week of May and 70+ degree days. Not unbearably hot, but hot enough to break out the shorts and flippy floppies for some fun outside. Chloe is not unlike most kids her age..completely obsessed with water. This week we decided to bust out the little water table thing we bought last year for Chloe and while last year she barely could reach inside of it, this year one of the first things she tried to do was climb into it. LOL. Here are just a few pics from this week and a few of the things we did. Have a great weekend and OH YEAH! Happy Mothers Day to all you Mom's out there. I Made Water! - May 4

This week: A small but important breakthrough in potty training! Without being to graphic, Chloe has been going #2 on her potty for quite some time now but has yet to go #1 so that has been a big focus around here. I can't remember if I mentioned it but the incentive I came up with for Chloe using the potty was letting her open a "special new car" (a Hotwheels car) and that seemed to keep her going, so to speak. =) I told Chloe that if she would make "pee-pee's" on the potty that I had a "VERY SPECIAL Yogi Bear car" for her to which I'm sure she had no idea what I was talking about but finally this week Heather sat Chloe on the potty and without warning she actually made a #1(technical term). I heard an eruption of cheers from Heather from the other room and went to see what all the fuss was about. I hear Heather tell Chloe something like "You made pee-pees! Such a big girl!!" and I see Chloe look down into the potty and exclaim excitedly, I MADE WATER!!! I MADE WATER!!!. If that wasn't the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life, I almost died laughing. =) And with that, Chloe knew exactly what was coming. I didn't even say it, I asked her if she knew what that meant and she immediately told me "special new Yogi bear car!?" haha. Absolutely kiddo, you earned it. Has she gone #1 on the potty since then, you ask? Nope..but it's progress and we are in no hurry.

Aside from that, a pretty chill week around here. We went ot "Rockin' Jump" again with some friends and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Just a few pics from this week's happenings. Have a great weekend~
