Abbey Looks Kinda NEW! - Aug 31

Poor Abbey she's certainly getting up there in age but that doesn't stop Chloe from loving the heck out of her. The other day I took Abbey to be groomed and she was about as shaggy as I've ever seen her. Chloe kept asking "where did Abbey go??" when we walked out of the place and I kept explaining to her that she was going to have a bath and get her haircut. When we went to pick up Abbey she came out and Chloe says to the lady there, "Where's Abbey?!" lol. We all had a good laugh at that one. On the way home Chloe kept saying "Abbey looks pretty! Abbey looks kinda NEW!!" I have no idea where this kid gets her vocabulary but it's truly been an ongoing source of laughter for us. =)

I Want Purple Toes, Too! - Aug 24

I'm actually surprised we have made it this far without someone painting Chloe's nails. The thought of it pretty much never occurs to me being a male it's not something I have ever done, lol. Our newest neighbor next door has 2 grandchildren that are like 10 and 12 years old..something like that..and they both ADORE Chloe. They are really nice kids and it's actually a super nice family and it seems almost every day they come over or come outside when they hear our garage open. Chloe is fond of them as well and they also have a little dog named "Boo" that she loves as well. It's strange, the little dog is an exact ringer for my Grandparents dog(Starr) who obviously used to live here. Neither the lady next door or Chloe would know that but it's funny to see this lady walking the little dog down the street exactly like my grandparents used to do when I was a kid.
Anyway.
We were outside and the girl next door, Alexa, had bright purple fingernail and toenail polish on and Chloe kept saying "I want purple fingers! I want purple toes!" lol so I made her wait until Heather got home to make sure it was ok. Again, I have no sense for this type of this so I wanted it to be a "Mom's decision". =) She said ok and the little girl proceeded to give Chloe her first toe nail painting. Chloe has been walking around proclaiming "look how beautiful my toes are!" lol and it doesn't hurt that purple seems to be her favorite color. I also picked up some new photography/lighting junk and recently Chloe has taken an interest in having her picture taken so I've used her a few times to test equipment so those are the rest of the pictures. =) Have a great weekend~

The Greatest Show On Earth Where A Kid Can Be A Kid - Aug 17

Another week has flown by and holy cow I cannot believe it. I have been very busy with weddings and editing and various other things which is good but it's hard to keep up with everything and summer is definitely slipping away(although you wouldn't know it from how hot it has been). Last weekend the Circus was in town and I'll be honest, I wasn't really interested in going. Heather convinced me that Chloe would love it and the next thing I knew we were at the circus, lol. Chloe definitely enjoyed it and I've been jokingly telling people that I think her favorite part of all things was the act they performed with cats. Not "big cats" like Lions & Tigers, regular house cat type cats. =)

Also this week we made our inaugural trip to Chuck E Cheese with our friend Sheryl & her kids. It was recently remodeled and while I had visions of a dark, dirty pizza place with kids running everywhere, I was only 1/3 right. =p Actually, I was really surprised how clean the place was and all the games were just 1 "token"(quarter) so we literally spend like $5 and Chloe played stuff for an hour. Then at the end we took the 45 tickets Chloe won and turned them into some ridiculous prizes but hey, it's fun for a kid! I can't believe we haven't been there so far and I'm sure we'll be back..so long as it's not on a weekend. I bet that place is a madhouse.

Mustang Chloe (Riiiide, Chloe Riiide) - Aug 10

The 65/66 Mustang has a special place in my heart, Heather's too. Growing up I always loved my dad's '66 Mustang and have fond memories of going on rides with my dad & family. When I first started seeing Heather (in high school) she drove a 65 Mustang. Don't think I didn't notice her a little more based on that fact, lol. =) There obviously was something special about a girl that drove a classic car when every other girl in school drove a Jetta or some other random piece of crap. You find a special girl like that you get her to marry you, and I did. =)

Last weekend we took a trip to the Oakland Zoo where we have gone many times before. Only the last few trips have we ventured over to the "rides" portion of the zoo where Chloe of course loves the carousel and the train but this time we let her go on a ride by herself. She got to "drive" her first little car all by herself and lucky for us nobody claimed the miniature 65 Mustang. As the ride went around Chloe would say "I'M HAVING SOOO MUCH FUN!" lol.
