Heather has been off work all week and if you can believe it, we are NOT in Disneyland! LOL.
Well, let's just say it wasn't out of the question but we have managed to keep ourselves quite busy around here this week. Earlier this week my Aunt came up to visit with her grandson(My Cousin's Son) and we made a point to go to my parents house so all the kids could go swimming and play. Then on Monday we went with them to that "Boomers" place in Livermore to play some Mini-Golf and do some go-carts and stuff. We ended up seeing them one last time on Tuesday when Heather and I took Chloe to the park to do some basketball and tennis (as Chloe has grown to enjoy) and they met us there for some of that. On Wednesday Heather took Chloe to "Waterworld" which is a big water park that I'm pretty sure the last time we went was for our Senior class trip in 1997. I really had no desire to go back so Heather and Chloe got to have a fun day there just the two of them. No pictures of that either, lol but realistically they were in some kind of water the entire time with their stuff in a locker. LOL.
Then on Thursday we decided to take a trip to "Six Flags Discovery Kingdom" formerly known as "Marine World" in Vallejo. It's kind of like a theme park with insane roller coasters but also with various animal exhibits mixed in. The last time Heather and I have been there was well before Chloe was born. Chloe actually won a free ticket there from a reading contest they had at her school last year so we decided to make the trip.
It was a very different experience from Disneyland (of which we are very familiar with at this point, obviously). =) The park was quiet and calm, not busy or crowded by any means. They had a lot of gigantic and ridiculous rides (of which Chloe was not super interested in but) we did manage to squeeze in a few. Mostly we managed to take in a lot of the animal attractions. Brought my camera and shot a few things to share...right now I'm struggling to keep my eyes open so with that, have a great weekend, folks. =)
