Well, as with most kids who have a garage full of stuff and bins full of toys, certain things go out of favor and certain things find their way back. This week, it appears the scooter I probably bought 2 years ago(not sure)decided to make a comeback. She tried it and was not super successful with it early on and that was about the extent of it. In cleaning out our garage a few weeks back, I accidentally un-buried the scooter and figured I would let Chloe give it another go. Heather apparently must have seen it or something because she had the same thought and one day while getting ready to walk the dog offered up the scooter to Chloe. To our surprise(not really) without much thought Chloe just took off rolling on the thing. Save for a few low speed falls she has gotten the hang of it and is becoming pretty good with it. She has been practicing every day often twice a day when we walk the dog and can balance for longer each time. It's strange because I feel like I remember my friend's son speeding around on a Razor scooter when he was like 3 but Chloe, as willing as she is to try things like roller coasters, is just not a daredevil. =) I have a feeling our summer is going to be a lot of this and probably continuing our journey in learning to ride a bike. Band-aid's have been re-stocked in the bathroom cabinet.
