5 Years ago basically to the day we celebrated Mother's day in Disneyland. So much has changed since that trip. For starters, on that trip 5 years ago my blog post was entitled "40 inches" and that was because Chloe had finally crossed that height threshold which virtually unlocked most of the rides even at the young age of not quite 3 and a half years old. This last trip when we went to go on the "Autopia" ride Chloe was basically just shy of the 54 inch marker which would allow her to ride alone. Heather says without shoes on she's definitely 52 inches so she has grown at least a foot taller over the course of 5 years. LOL. That is a fact that would not be readily available to me if I did not have the ability to make 2 clicks and see a blog post from 5 years ago.
Some things have stayed the same, however. One of those things is the stroller we bring that Chloe is officially 5 lbs to heavy for and she insists she wants us not to bring it so she can walk the whole time(but then happily catches a ride as we go from place to place). I'm not interested in buying some new big gigantic expensive stroller for her at this size but let's just say that thing has paid for itself 20 times over in being able to hold coolers and jackets and all of the things you should bring but don't want to carry around all day.
So we spent Mother's Day in the parks and I have to say it was not super busy. Chloe's (still) current favorite ride is "The Guardians of the Galaxy" which I have to say for how much I did not care for the "Tower of Terror" (of which it is basically the same ride), I really enjoy the "Guardians" version of it as well. Over our 2 days we managed to ride it 4 times. Actually I take that back, we rode it 3 times in 2 days and because Chloe was so good the entire trip, we got up early the morning we were to leave and made one last trip into the park to ride it a 4th and final time. I know it sounds crazy but hey, you go all the way down there you squeeze in as much fun as you can. =)
A quick couple of days in the parks and some random photos from the trip to serve as a reminder of what we did. Have a great weekend, folks~
