This week of course was Valentines day but it was also something else. It was Chloe's turn to be "star of the week" in her class! =)
Basically what that means is that every day Chloe had a little task to do in front of the class. On Monday she brought in a poster with some questions about her answered and a picture of her with Penny (that is in this post) that apparently all the kids really liked. She said everyone was telling her they really liked her dog, lol. Tuesday she had to bring in an estimation where Chloe brought in a bag of *something* and the kids guess how many things are in the bag. Chloe brought in some little sea shells and her friend Quinn guessed the closest. =)
Wednesday, she brought in a "share item" and to be honest with you I'm not sure what was involved Thursday. Friday,(apparently) I will be joining the class for a short time to read some excerpts from what Chloe is calling her current favorite book. I guess we'll see how that goes!
Valentines Day was Wednesday and aside from a few extra Chocolate things and some flowers(that Chloe and I picked out for Heather) it was pretty normal around here. Chloe came home and got to sort through a bag of junk that was given to her by her classmates, most of which contained either a pencil or a pen of some sort and even one had a piece of paper with instructions on how to make a paper airplane. No 2nd grade love letters, thankfully.
