Yes, by now you should be fully aware of "Frozen" and what is has done to the general population of kids age 2(?) and up. In the above photo, Chloe is "freezing you up". I swear. The movie came out over Christmas and you haven't been able to find a doll or a dress in a store for 7 months. LOL
Recently, things have finally started showing up in stores little by little and as you might expect it is literally flying off the shelves. When we were in Disneyland last time and we bought these dolls for Chloe, there were people following us around the store asking us where we got them. I thought we were going to get stabbed. =)
We were lucky enough to get Chloe an "Elsa" dress at Christmas time which was pretty much right when they first started selling out and I had to drive to a mall 30 minutes away to get the right size. The things we do for our kids! But Chloe(and every other kid in existence) is mostly obsessed with the Elsa character however she has always expressed a desire for an "Anna dress up" as well. A facebook tip lead me to return to Costco(for the 2nd time) because they supposedly had received their shipment of Halloween costumes(I know, in July). For $20 they had the dress AND it included a wig which we got there last year when Chloe was Rapunzel and it was an awesome costume and literally the best deal around...but I digress. They supposedly had "tons" of Elsa & Anna costumes so I drove down to Costco and of course, sold out. For $20 the Elsa costume was really what we were after because Chloe has so much fun with wigs and dress ups but like most parents when they get to the store and see all that's left is "Anna", we bought that anyway. For $20 it's a killer deal for whats sure to be hours of fun for Chloe. Sadly, she plays dress up mostly by herself BUT!! if any of her friends come over, we now have the makings of a movie recreation on hand. I, for one, am excited. =)
Have a great weekend, folks! Try not to melt out there #olaf #whatfrozenthingsdoinsummer
