Summer. It just started officially but you wouldn't know it by the above photo of Chloe in long pants and a rain jacket. Go figure....
Something I probably forgot to mention and it's kind of a big deal. Chloe has officially been enrolled into preschool!
After several reccomendations and lots of research we narrowed down to a few local preschools that we would visit and compare. One of which was a co-op type school which I am only familiar with because a few of our friends have been involved in something similar for their kids preschools. Basically, the cost of the school is lower but the parent(s)have to work like 2 days a month in the classroom as well as some other various obligations throughout the year. It seemed like a viable option for us as long as the school was good. Long story short, that is the school we picked and Chloe is set to start going on Tuesday's and Thursday's this fall. As luck would have it, the school is just a few miles from our house and it seems like it will be a great fit for us.
On Monday, we attended a park play date at a local park(that we take Chloe all the time)that was pretty much meant to let the kids play and the parents get acquainted. Heather took lunch from work and we all went. We were the only people there with our entire family present and the other moms were of course shocked to learn that dad would be the one(mostly) working in the class. I still forget that what we are doing is not the "norm". It's going to be strange to send Chloe off to school, even if it's just a few hours a day and a few days a week. It should be good for Chloe and it should be interesting for me(us) to be involved in the classroom/school events. =)
