Ok, I know that's a bit of a stretch but it's the first thing that popped into my head. I can't believe it's been a year since the last time I posted about the 4th of July and I can't believe it's been a year since we went to the fair. So much has changed. For the first time that I can remember in my entire life, San Ramon cancelled the fireworks show which we have always made a point to go see. It figures now that Chloe is actually old enough to stay awake and appreciate a cool fireworks show, there isn't one to speak of. We spent the 4th with some friends who have a block party in their neighborhood but basically we all hang around outside and the kids play. It was a pretty fun and laid back way to spend the 4th.
Fireworks are illegal in all of the surrounding cities EXCEPT for Dublin so our friends invited us over to their place(in Dublin)to light off some fireworks they purchased(legally). We debated because it was late but in the end we went and Chloe LOVED IT. She still talks about the fireworks we saw when we were in Disneyland so to be up close to small fireworks was probably way better in her eyes then the grand display that might have been in San Ramon. =)
Heather took off the rest of the week so we also made our 2nd annual trip out to the county fair! Last year all Chloe could really do was the petting zoo and cruise around in her stroller. This year, she was all about the rides! It was really fun and not very crowded(hey, it was a Thursday afternoon).
Have a great weekend~
