The Hula Hoop - Jan 14

What's the best thing you can buy a 3 year old from the dollar store?
The answer is of course, gummy bears. Well, if it's from the dollar store it might be called "gummy bear like animals" or something, but you get my point...but the SECOND best thing you can get a 3 year old ESPECIALLY if they are a girl and named Chloe is a hula hoop. Chloe and Heather spend some quality mommy daughter time together last weekend when I was gone was seemed like 3 days straight and one of their stops landed them at the dollar store. Needless to say, they found a few things but Chloe loves herself some hula hoop and this one is "just her size". =)

Also, in case you missed it or didn't know, yesterday was Heather's Birthday! That marks the 16th birthday we have celebrated together! Crazy, right?! That also means it has been sixteen years since we graduated from high school and that my friends, is truly nuts. Almost half our lives have been spent together and I can tell you I could not imagine spending it any other way. The best wife to me and mother to our child I could have ever hoped or asked for. Jack In The Box - Jun 7

Chloe comes up with some goofy stuff from time to time. I'm not quite sure where she came up with this but all this week (and some of last week) Chloe wanted to play "Jack In The Box" which is essentially a game she made up for herself and only she can play. =) Basically, she takes everything that is stored in this storage ottoman and takes it out, then she gets in the box and puts everything in the box around her. You can imagine what happens next...

The Wind Festival V3.0 - May 31

You know you are from San Ramon when...you know what the wind festival is and you go there every year. Welcome to year 3 for us going to the San Ramon Art & Wind Festival. Every year on Memorial Day weekend for two days Central park is transformed with lots of vendors selling things, rides, kite flying, etc. Basically, something for you to do with the family and tons of people flock to it every year. This year we went and made the usual rounds. Chloe of course immediately wanted to do some of the kiddie carnival rides. They were a little on the sad side and basically they all just went around in circles but even a kid that just went to Disneyland completely enjoys slow and squeaky carnival rides, too. LOL.

They had a free face painting booth for kids and Chloe was excited for that. When the lady finished Chloe seemed distraught and after a few minutes was telling us that she wanted it off! LOL. Apparently we found the only kid that hated having their face painted. She smiled at first but as soon as we got back to the car she asked for me to get a baby wipe and clean it off. This kid! As you might recall, a few blog posts back I took some pictures flying her kite (which she loves to do) but it's basically falling apart. On our way out we found a vendor selling all sorts of kites and things like that so we let Chloe pick out a new one. What do you think she picked? Stay tuned for the answer! =)

Flip, Flop, Follies! - May 24

The "Flip Flop Follies" has been happening at the gymnastics place that my mom works at and Chloe now goes to for like as long as I can remember. It's a big performance show that the kids from the various classes and age groups can sign up to be in and the parents come and watch them perform. This year would be the first year that we would attend The Follies not only as spectators but spectators with a kid in the show! LOL.

Chloe's class mostly consists of 3 and 4 year olds and their theme this year was "Tigger" so they all wore Tigger costumes and performed to some kind of Tigger music as they bounced around. =) Chloe did really well and it was really cute! I'm sure it was neat too for my mom who has been coaching this age kids for a years and years to actually have Chloe be IN the show as well. It's really amazing how much Chloe has learned since we started and it's almost even more amazing how much she probably will learn based on what the kids can do that aren't much older than her. Chloe had a blast!

Also, I threw in some pics of Chloe and what I believe are technically her...second cousins? My Cousin's, kids. Maybe? Anyway, we had a visit from My cousin Bonnie and her Husband Greg and their 2 kids Ellie, & Josh. Chloe was fast friends with them and especially took a liking to Ellie! They all had a lot of fun playing in the pool and then we went over to the green belt area adjacent from my parents house and they continued to play out there until it was basically dark. It was great to see everybody and I have included a few pics from that as well.
