Happy 22 Week Birthday, Chloe! - Jun 11

chloe_22weeks-103

Week two of daddy day care speeds to a close. On Tuesday it was Chloe's official 5 month birthday (on the 8th). This last week has literally flown by. It's amazing how fast the days go by when you have another person to take care of..especially when that person is a 5 month old baby that can't exactly tell you what they want. It's an amazing guessing game that when you think you have the rules figured out, they somehow change and you have to learn all over again. It can be frustrating but when you figure it out it's a great feeling to know you understand what's going on with your baby.
So in taking theme with "The Adventures Of Baby Chloe" I took a few shots of a few things we did this week and a few pictures from the week. Have a great weekend. Enjoy!

We hit up Costco

Home Depot & Best Buy(not pictured lol whoops)

and a walk around the neighborhood

and no we aren't feeding Chloe foods yet but we've recently started sitting her in the high chair just to get her used to it so when the time does come(rapidly approaching I suppose) she'll be ok with it. She actually like it and has been taking a great interest in watching us eat.

One of her new favorite things to do is sit and grab her feet. It's super cute but when she has pants on she just grabs onto the pants haha!

Happy 21 Week Birthday, Chloe! - Jun 4

chloe21weeksweb-100

Eating, crying, napping..and then there's what Chloe did this week. =p I mentioned last week that Heather would be returning to work this week and on Tuesday, that happened."Operation Mr. Mom in full effect". Since Tuesday I have been home all day taking care of Chloe and it has been eye opening to say the least. The days have been flying by which I guess is a good thing but it's been very interesting trying to figure out what needs to happen and when. For the most part I(we) have Chloe figured out as to her cues to what is going on. Tired? Hungry? Poops? All good I got it covered lol. The past 5 months flew by and I have already told Heather how much I miss having her around all day. It's been an experience I bet most parents don't get to have and for that I think we are both very thankful. As the week draws to a close suffice to say we survived and we will continue to do so. Just a few pics this week as I haven't had much time to *click click* but I'm trying to make a point to take at least 1 photo a day of her doing something. Have a great weekend~

Happy 20 Week Birthday, Chloe! - May 28

chloe20weeks-106

20 weeks! I have to say that this week is a little bit bitter-sweet. Heather and I have both been home all this time sharing the duties and taking care of Chloe all day, every day. Next week Heather will be returning to work and I will be here to keep things rolling. We have been practicing getting down a feeding schedule and trying to see if we can time it so Heather can come home for lunch and feed her..stuff like that. It should be interesting but this has been the plan all along...now it's just time to put it into play! We have been very fortunate to be able to share in this experience like we have together as this is very much not the "norm". Time has flown by and I suspect it will continue to do so. Next week should be an interesting report =). On to the pics!

Happy 19 Week Birthday, Chloe! - May 21

IMG_0111

At week 19 Chloe is a little chunkier and has a little less hair. Hey, just like her father! She hasn't lost all her hair as some babies do, but she is a super duper head roller when she sleeps so she has a balding ring around the back of her head lol. The good news is even though she rolls her head and can squirm a bit while she sleeps, she's still sleeping all night so that rocks. Well, with the exception of last night she woke herself up sneezing at 3am or something, but that can happen to the best of us. Oh yeah, she's been sleeping through the night and all this last week..in her own room...in the crib! The room is only like 20 feet away and around the corner but it's a big step for us. Heather had a hard time with it but with the help of the soft glowing video monitor she can wake up and watch her anytime she wants. The first night we were both sure she would wake up..but she didn't. From what we can tell, she likes it just fine! She is such a good baby. =)
That's what's happening here this week. I've been pretty busy editing stuff from some recent weddings and stuff..check it out

Happy 18 Week Birthday, Chloe! - May 14

IMG_8853mothersday-105

Well, week 18 of life with Chloe was full of interesting events. First, Heather got to celebrate her first Mothers Day on Sunday which was fun. Monday, not so fun. Chloe had her "4 month checkup" at the pediatrician which meant more shots. First, they weighed her at just under 14 lbs (cant remember exactly) which puts her in like the 56th percentile for weight. See, I thought when they said "50th percentile" that meant like she was half what she should be but as I found out a while ago that just means "average". Anything above 50% would be above average and anything below, well duh. Her height was like 25 inches which puts her in the 75th percentile for height..so she's on track to be tall like her dad. =) Remember, these percentages are based on a "full term" baby and Chloe was 5 weeks early. That more or less means that she is pretty caught up in size which is a great thing.
So then there were shots..and it was pretty much terrible. The first time at 2 months, Chloe cried but was pretty easily distracted right after. This week, she cried like we have never heard or seen before and she had tears running down her cheeks. The lady gave her the shots and I didn't even notice her leave. Heather and I looked at each other and both of us had tears in our eyes..it was that bad. The rest of the day was touch and go and she was not happy to be anywhere or do anything. She's much better now, but man oh man. Adding insult to injury they are replacing the roof(s) on our place and all week it sounds like a war zone over here so we've been dealing with some stress lol.
The good news is we had another dermatologist appointment today to check on the Hemangioma and they say it has not changed since our last visit. The plan is to ween off of the topical thing they have had us using and hope it's just gonna stay the little dot that it is and go away on its own sooner than later(or should I say sooner than average). The downside to that is, it could take until her 2nd birthday to go away but I guess that's progress we'll have to wait and see.
So not that many pics to share this week just a few from a shoot we did together last week. Have a great weekend!

You may recognize this dress seen here:

xmas2k9_full2-100

as the dress that Heathers' mom got for Chloe before anyone even knew if she was to be a girl or a boy. It has been a decoration in her room since before she was born and she finally was able to wear it for the first time on Mothers Day. =)

Happy Mothers Day - May 10

IMG_9056mothersday_brian-105

We could not be more in love with our little Chloe. Mothers day is special this year for us as it's Heathers' first time she can enjoy it as a mom. She is my wife, my best friend and truly a wonderful mother to our daughter. Happy mothers day to all. =)

Happy 17 Week Birthday, Chloe! - May 7

chloe17weeks-105

Today marks week 17 of our little miss. Once again our couch makes it's cameo in the photos. I can't help it if she likes to chill on it, and there just happens to be a huge sliding glass door pouring in soft, natural light. =) Win, win.
Now, is it wrong to dress up your child in little outfits with matching hats? Maybe, but we did it and there are pictures to prove it lol. Earlier today I took some photographs of a 1 month old baby girl. Part of me didn't think that Chloe has gotten that big over the last few months but the reality is (after seeing a 1 month old baby)Chloe is in fact large and in charge. HUGE. Our 4 month "check up" appointment is on Monday with our pediatrician which I'm told involves more shots. That should be fun. We will report back with height and weight etc..we are very interested to know what's changed in the last 2 months! Enjoy the photos and have a great weekend.

Happy 16 Week Birthday, Chloe! - Apr 30

IMG_623116weeks-114

Well, here we are again. Friday. 16 Fridays ago, Chloe was born. With every passing week we are continually amazed at how much she changes. Pretty soon she will be sitting up, rolling over, crawling, driving, voting...wow. She has been officially been sleeping through the night for at least the last week or so but I haven't really said anything for fear of it not lasting. She has continually slept like 7-9 hours a night and we are loving it lol. During the day she is very awake and active..smiling, cooing, laughing and is just the happiest little bean. She especially loves being on the changing table. She stares up at the stuffed animals on the shelf above her and just coos and squeals! I actually recorded a video of her on my phone and yesterday decided to show Chloe the video of herself. To our surprise, she started talking to herself and cracking up!
I wish we could have got it on video...oh wait a minute we did:

So awesome.
Anyway, that's what's been going on lately and now on to some of this weeks pics. Our couch makes another appearance but she seems to like being propped up..so I go with it.
