Did you know that in Southern California you can wear shorts and a T-shirt all day long in the middle of winter? I'm here to tell you that you can, and I did. =P
Last weekend we went(of course) to Disneyland. Again. I know. Hey, it's what we do. As it turned out, we had TWO separate sets of friends going to the parks on the EXACT SAME days as we were so for the first time in all of our trips there we were able to meet up with some friends for a few rides and stuff. Chloe seemed to particularly enjoy our time spent with our friends daughter Delaney. Delaney does not speak but she understands very well and is able to communicate quite a bit however Chloe doesn't even notice and they just laugh and play together. It's really a great thing to see them having so much fun. We met up with them a couple times over a few days so that was fun. We also ran into my friend Todd and his family there but we only saw them for a short time. They have younger kids and they start their day in the parks well before we are even awake lol so a meetup was all we could work out. I have found that everybody has their agenda and the speed at which they want to approach it so it's really best to stick to what works for you.
For 3 days it was in the mid 80s to upper 70's and really you couldn't ask for nicer weather especially for it being JANUARY. The parks were not super crowded however I believe they consider this their "off season" even though technically they charge peak pricing due to it being a holiday weekend. January 8th(Chloe's birthday, of course) marks their official last day for any and all "Holiday" celebrations/decorations/parades/etc but it also marks the start of a lot of ride refurbishments. I made a point to document some or all of the closed attractions as it's not something you may normally get to see. There were several rides that were close for refurbishment and a lot of constructions fences and cranes and noises everywhere you went. If this was your first trip to Disneyland or if you were only going for 1 day, it would certainly be a disappointing view. Most of the construction will be completed by spring but still, a bummer.
We have been to the parks a lot and as usual I took some photos I know I have taken before, and others just because I knew I would post them and it would be fun for Chloe/us to look back on in the future. Just a few pics from the trip..have a great weekend, folks~
