Yes, we did it again. Disneyland!
Chloe is almost 3 and a half and we are finding out that she is as tall as many 4 and even some 5 year olds. When we go to gymnastics, she is often taller than other kids in the class that are a year or more older than her. This year in going back to Disneyland we measured Chloe before we went and sure enough she is at or has surpassed the 40 inch mark for height. We went online and found out that pretty much opens up a lot of new doors as far as rides she is able to go on at Disneyland. As a matter of fact, the list of rides she CANNOT go on is now very short. This trip was very much spent doing things that Chloe knows and loves (Carousel, Dumbo, Teacups, etc) but we also managed to do several new things..some of which she liked and others she did not. We did "Star Tours" for the first time and she actually did not like it. "Too loud" and "We don't have to go back on the space ship ride again" are a few things she mentioned after it was over. LOL. Believe it or not, she is tall enough to ride on "Space Mountain" and she said she was up for going on the roller coaster. Probably a bad choice...although she didn't say she was scared of it, it is much jerkier than I remember. I'm pretty certain Heather had Chloe's head in a helmet death grip throughout the entire ride(and rightfully so). Whoops.
Probably the ride I was MOST excited for Chloe to be able to go on was the Radiator Springs Racers which is the main attraction ride in "Cars Land". The last time we went, Heather and I went on the ride separately as single riders and the line was very short for that. This time, for all 3 of us to go the line was a 60 minute wait. We figured we would get fast passes but when we got to the park there was like a 30 minute line just to get fast passes..It is such an awesome ride and certainly a do not miss if you find yourself in Cars Land. Chloe loved it..super fun.
Overall it was a great trip. Our friend Cindy even drove up from San Diego for a day to hang out with us in the park on Monday. This weeks pictures may hopefully are not to similar to ones I have taken before..just some things that we did, things that I saw and things I found interesting. As a matter of fact, as strange as this probably sounds for me to say I was actually focusing on NOT taking photos this trip. I have realised it is easy for me to lose sight that I do not always have to document every little facet of our trip with my camera to have a fond memory of it. Now that we have been a couple times it was actually much more enjoyable to NOT feel like I had to take a photo of Chloe doing EVERYTHING. I'm sure you won't believe me because I'm going to post a lot of pictures..but believe me I took a lot fewer photos than in past trips. =)
Have a great weekend.
