Zoo-a-holic - Sept 2

Jurassic Park? Nnnnnnope.

We like going to zoos. What can we say? Last weekend we took a trip out to the San Francisco Zoo. I dressed in shorts and a T-shirt and didn't bring a jacket. Heather had Chloe dressed like an Eskimo and I couldn't figure out why. Once we got there, I remembered where we were. Lovely (cool and overcast) SF weather but it was still fun to get out and walk around while showing Chloe yet another zoo. I'm thinking this year (or next season) family passes to the Oakland zoo are in order. =) Here are some random pics from our little trip. Have a great weekend!

Slam Dunk - Aug 26

Back to being hot this week so we have spent a little more time indoors. Luckily, Heather's friend from work gave us a "new" toy for little Miss Chloe to mess around with. My mom has something similar so she already knows the concept of it..but that hasn't stopped her from trying to slam dunk anything that will fit lol. I found it the other day with her baby doll and her Ariel barbie both shoved into the hoop. Nice. We also spent a few days with our friend Shannon & her family since as I mentioned last week they had their baby(girl) Taylor. Super cutie. It's amazing how small they start out..makes Chloe look like a Giant. =)

Sammich! - Aug 19

Yup, she finally figured out how to get in there. =)

Lots of exciting news this week. For one, yesterday our close friends Shannon & Chris finally had their baby! Beautiful and healthy baby girl named Taylor Madison King who was 8lbs 9oz with a full head of hair. We're very much looking forward to meeting her. I got a text in the middle of the night last night from Chris and all day all I could do was think about the day Chloe was born and how excited they must be. It truly is an amazing thing.

So back to our little miss, Chloe. Had a few interesting photo opportunities this week one of which was Chloe's first experience with a "sammich!" (as she calls it). As with probably any kids they are more interested to eat what mommy and daddy are eating, so I made Chloe a mini samdwich to try and to our surprise, she liked it! I tried cutting them into little squares to which she quickly dismantled. It was not until i left the sandwich a hand holdable size that we hit paydirt. She loves cheese so that's no problem. Turkey by itself? Not so much. Bread? Sometimes. Turkey and cheese sammich? Yes please! lol.

18 Months ----->19 Months - Aug 12

Sunday was the last day of Chloe being officially 18 months old. I had been thinking all month about trying to go somewhere and actually shoot an 18 month "session" for her but every weekend we both had stuff consuming our time and before I knew it, she was about to be 19 months old. So with literally no time to spare we headed out to see if I could get a few pictures of her..not like I don't take a ton of pictures of her every week but it was the principle of it. =)

Horsey! - Aug 5

^ I leave the room for a minute after giving her a little snack and that's how I found her when I came back, lol. She stayed there long enough for me to grab a camera, switch lenses, realise there was no memory card, get a memory card, and then snap a picture. =)
This week Heather's friend from work passed down a new toy. It's a little ride on zebra that makes noise when she bounces on it but she saw it and immediately declared it was a "Horsey!"..which if you recall she was obsessed with when we went to Pixieland a few weeks ago. She likes it but at her age she's into stuff for about 40 seconds at a time lol.
We also spent a few hours Thursday at a friends house letting all the kids play on a friends new gigantic inflatable water slide thing. There was some crazy clearance deal at Kohls and for a moment I thought maybe it would be worth me buying one but upon seeing it..it's like bigger than our entire house! =)
