Happy 25 Week Birthday, Chloe! - July 2

So we're just a few days short of being able to start saying "she's 6 months". I've decided from now on, I'm just going to refer to her in months and halves. Right now, she's "almost 6 months". =)
This week was our appointment with our eye doctor and it went as well as we could hope. 35 minutes of waiting to see the doctor for him to flash a light in her eyes for 2 minutes and tell us she's still fine. Then, I scheduled another appointment for 6 months from now where they will hopefully tell us the same thing. Today, I thought we had her 6 month checkup but it turns out I need to read my schedule more carefully. We actually have an another follow up appointment with the dermatologists at Stanford. I fully predict the appointment go exactly like the eye appointment. It's all good, though. No news is good news and I'd rather them tell us it's fine than tell us it's not. All part of having a baby. =)

On Thursday I reconnected with a good friend that I've known since high school. She and her husband recently had their first daughter who is just a month or so younger than Chloe. Actually, had Chloe gone full term they would only be 2 or 3 weeks apart. We had the opportunity to catch up and let the little girls meet for the first time. Much to my surprise, when we laid them down next to each other they almost immediately grabbed hands..it was the cutest stinkin thing I've seen in my life!

Happy 24 Week Birthday, Chloe! - Jun 24

24 Weeks. So, like, how many months is that? That's a question I was asked earlier. Almost 6. Holy Crap. Yes, yet another week has flown by. I can't really say a lot has changed this last week. Next week we have Chloe's follow up eye appointment(hemangioma) as well as her 6 month checkup. You know what that means? More shots! Yay. Not looking forward to that. =(
This week, most of the pictures are actually taken by Heather...well I'd say probably 50% but that's good! I shot two weddings last weekend and Heather decided to bust out the camera and take some pictures. That's my girl. =) So here you go, this weeks pics. Enjoy~

Happy Fathers Day - Jun 20

So Happy Fathers Day to me. We spent the morning at home hanging out together and I actually shot a wedding in the afternoon/evening. Didn't feel all that much like a holiday as it were, but I was reminded at the wedding that evening just how important it is to be a dad. The brides father gave a very touching speech where he talked about all the seemingly small milestones in her life that he was so happy to be a part of. It was like he had been taking notes for the speech where he would give away his daughter his entire life and he finally got to make that speech. It was hard not to get a little choked up and you could just tell the special bond they shared. I am excited for us to make our own memories and have our own special milestones.

Happy 23 Week Birthday, Chloe! - Jun 18

We somehow made it through another week in one piece. Last time I checked it was Monday so I'm not exactly sure how we got to Friday again lol. It's been a long week that flew by if that makes any sense. Not much to report this week so here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Happy 22 Week Birthday, Chloe! - Jun 11

Week two of daddy day care speeds to a close. On Tuesday it was Chloe's official 5 month birthday (on the 8th). This last week has literally flown by. It's amazing how fast the days go by when you have another person to take care of..especially when that person is a 5 month old baby that can't exactly tell you what they want. It's an amazing guessing game that when you think you have the rules figured out, they somehow change and you have to learn all over again. It can be frustrating but when you figure it out it's a great feeling to know you understand what's going on with your baby.
So in taking theme with "The Adventures Of Baby Chloe" I took a few shots of a few things we did this week and a few pictures from the week. Have a great weekend. Enjoy!

and no we aren't feeding Chloe foods yet but we've recently started sitting her in the high chair just to get her used to it so when the time does come(rapidly approaching I suppose) she'll be ok with it. She actually like it and has been taking a great interest in watching us eat.

One of her new favorite things to do is sit and grab her feet. It's super cute but when she has pants on she just grabs onto the pants haha!

Happy 21 Week Birthday, Chloe! - Jun 4

Eating, crying, napping..and then there's what Chloe did this week. =p I mentioned last week that Heather would be returning to work this week and on Tuesday, that happened."Operation Mr. Mom in full effect". Since Tuesday I have been home all day taking care of Chloe and it has been eye opening to say the least. The days have been flying by which I guess is a good thing but it's been very interesting trying to figure out what needs to happen and when. For the most part I(we) have Chloe figured out as to her cues to what is going on. Tired? Hungry? Poops? All good I got it covered lol. The past 5 months flew by and I have already told Heather how much I miss having her around all day. It's been an experience I bet most parents don't get to have and for that I think we are both very thankful. As the week draws to a close suffice to say we survived and we will continue to do so. Just a few pics this week as I haven't had much time to *click click* but I'm trying to make a point to take at least 1 photo a day of her doing something. Have a great weekend~
