With Thanksgiving officially over that means one thing around here: PUT UP THE TREE 'cause Christmas is right around the corner. EEK.
The beginning of December always makes me think of Heather coming home from the hospital and being on bed rest through Christmas. We ended up getting another 5 weeks before landing back in the hospital and ultimately Chloe being born. Every year since then pretty much without fail just after Thanksgiving (or the first week after) we make a point to put up our Christmas tree. Once Chloe was a few years old I also started putting up lights on the outside of the house and the last several years she actually helps me do it. I guess you could say that's our "thing". lol.
We actually had a double Thanksgiving last week with Heather's family on Thursday and my Family on Saturday. Saturday was actually pretty busy as my brother and his family came down as well as my cousin and his wife and their 2 kids for a total of 5 kids under the age of 8. Chloe of course is the oldest and the others are all 5 or younger. I have some pictures from that day but I haven't had time to sort through them as of yet.
On Friday we also had a visit from one of Chloe's preschool friends(now in 3rd grade) that moved away a couple years ago(Ella) so we got to see them for a little while which was fun. They always got along really well so it was fun to see them kind of fall back into the swing of things if only for a little while. =)
