Halloween Bow, Play Dough - Oct 14

Well, in one more day Heather and I will have officially been married for FIVE YEARS. I have been to I would say well over 100 weddings since ours, and I can still remember it like it was yesterday. Not to long ago I actually shot a wedding that was at The Palm Event Center (the place where we got married) and it totally brought me right back to that day. Of all the weddings I have been to in the last five years, I still say Heather had the most beautiful dress that I have ever seen and of course to me, she is the most beautiful bride I could ever have imagined. Love you, babe. =)

We celebrate this anniversary for the 2nd time with our adorable Chloe in our lives. She's not even 2 yet and I don't think either of us really can remember what life was like before she was around. There isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't bring a smile to our faces and I look forward to spending many more anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, etc with these two.

That said, here are some pics from this week. Halloween swag courtesy of my mom, I called the bow her "Halloween bow" so that's what she calls it of course. Heather introduced Play Dough for the first time and to my surprise it took over 30 seconds before it occurred to Chloe to try eating it. It will remain to be a supervised event for a little while longer. =)

Turning 21(Months) - Oct 7

Well, here we are. Just one day shy of being 21 months old Chloe just continues to amaze us day after day. She learns things at an unbelievable rate..and retains things that I would never have imagined she would. I mean, eventually all kids grow up right but it's just so strange and amazing to be able to watch her learn how to do something..or listen to her say a new word...or just do whatever it is she couldn't do the day before. Every day I look at Chloe and I just can't believe she's as big as she is...and that in a few months she will be freakin' 2 years old. I say to myself, "what could possibly change in the next 3 months" and then I realise how much has really changed in the LAST 3 months. I'm excited. We're excited. =)

Not Quite The Happiest Place On Earth - Sept 30

So randomly and without warning this week Chloe was a little bit under the weather. Had a moderate fever for a few days and really no other symptoms. Everything seems to be working itself out and she's returning to her normal smiley and cheerful self. Earlier this week..the same day she started not feeling well I took Chloe with me to meet with my wedding couple for this weekend at their reception site. It was literally like walking through a ride at Disneyland and Chloe(despite not feeling so hot) LOVED it. I can only imagine if she was feeling 100% how much she would have flipped out over this place. I took some random photos of her checking stuff out, and once I shoot and post their wedding I will link it here because you are not going to believe this place!

Best Buds - Sept 23

The last few weeks Chloe has formed a little bit of an attachment to a couple stuffed animals she has. Ok if I'm being honest it's pretty much all of them. She wakes up and wants like every stuffed animal in sight. "Lammie!? Monkey?! GEORGE? TWO MONKEYS?! MICKEY MOUSE!!" She will scope up and carry as many as she can hold. Totally cute but also can be a problem when we go to leave the house she wants to take them all with us in the car. Luckily, she's been really good when we ask her to "put them to bed" she goes and puts them all up on our bed one at a time and we let her take just one with us. Usually it's this little Curious George monkey.
This week was jam packed for us but I did manage to snap some pics of Chloe in a part of our house that I used to take her picture when she was small but is now pretty much off limits (my office). I remember when I used to prop her up in between the couch cushions when she could barely sit up to take her picture. Now, she will hardly sit still!

Open And Shut! - Sept 16

OPEN AND SHUT. OPEN AND SHUT!
Last weekend Heather was playing Chloe a "wheels on the bus" song and one of the lines is "the doors on the bus go open and shut, open and shut, open and shut!" etc. Guess what that song is going to be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Your welcome. Now, Chloe goes around singing/saying open and shut! like it's one long word. Hilarious. I also recently bought Chloe a MASSIVE Mr. Potato Head set from Costco(where else?) which has like 4 different bodies and like 50 parts. Of course she is obsessed with dumping the entire thing out but she loves to play with it..so this weeks randomness includes that.

20 Months (and 1 day) - Sept 9

Well we have officially entered the home stretch. 4 more months and Chloe will be 2. Since I go by whatever is the 8th of the month, yesterday Chloe is now officially 20 months. Several of our friends have kids that are just starting school or will be soon and I cannot even imagine when that day will come..but it's probably not as far away as it seems. Yikes.
This week it was finally my turn to get sick..and Heather will tell you, I RARELY get sick. I've been battling a cold all week after what was a pretty low key 3 day weekend. We took Chloe to a local park to play around in the water a bit and met up with my family for lunch. Chloe will never miss an opportunity to play in the water!
